How
much does the Discount Card Cost?
The
Card is FREE. You do not have to register, apply or enroll.
If you want to use the mail order portion of the program you
will need to complete the customer profile that will print
out with the card and follow the simple to read instructions.
You must use the card first in one of the participating pharmacies
and be entered into the system before you can use the mail
order program.
How
much is the Discount?
The
discount varies by each store chain but the card can provide
savings of up to 50% off the regular price on generic drugs
and 15% off the regular price on branded drugs. If the store
offers a cheaper price on a prescription than the discounted
price we have arranged you will get the cheaper of the two
prices.
How
do I apply for a card ?
No
registration or application is required. You simply print
the paper card from our website, cut it out and write in your
name and your phone number as your member number. You can
even make up a number of 10 digits up to 16 digits and write
it in the number area if you don't have a phone. You may even
photocopy the card and give it to a other family members,
friends or employees.
Who
accepts the card ?
The
card is valid in almost 50,000 pharmacies nationwide. A list
of the major pharmacies is printed with the card. You will
need to ask the independent pharmacy if they honor the Scrip
Solutions card.
What
prescriptions does the discount card cover?
All
medications that require a prescription are covered by the
discount card require. Injectable medications are also covered.
As long as you have a valid prescription you will receive
the program discount.
Where
do I get the Drug Pricing ?
Each
chain of stores or Independent Pharmacy sets its own pricing.
Nonprofit Warehouse does not have any pricing at its location
so will be unable to assist you. You will need to ask your
local pharmacist when you present your prescription and your
discount card. Please do not call us to inquire.
How
do I know if I'm getting the discounted price ?
When
you present your Discount card and your prescription to the
Pharmacist he will enter the codes into the computer and the
discount will automatically be deducted from the normal price.
Should the pharmacy have a cheaper price on the prescription
you are purchasing you will receive the cheaper of the two
prices!
How
does this Discount Card compare to cards that require me to
pay a monthly fee?
This
card is very similar to cards that cost you a monthly or annual
fee. The Nonprofit Warehouse chooses to make it available
for FREE to those that need it. The discounts are comparable.
Those that need the card are generally the ones that can least
afford the monthly or annual fee.
If
I have Medicaid or Medicare or I'm enrolled in another program
can I still use the card?
If
your current provider does not cover your medications you
can use the discount card.
Are
there any restrictions on the card?
The
only restriction on the card is that you can't use it in conjunction
with insurance or any other discount card at the same time.
You can use the card in place of your insurance or copay if
the card gives you a cheaper price and you can even use it
to purchase prescriptions that aren't covered by your insurance
program. You just can't use it to double dip on the same prescription.
Is
there a customer service number I can call for help?
Yes.
The customer service number is printed with each card.
Is
Customer Service available in Spanish?
Yes.
I
don't have a computer. Where can I get a card?
We
do not mail or fax the card so please do not call and ask.
Each public library has computers that you may use or you
can ask a friend or your church to print one off for you.
They will probably appreciate you asking since they will be
able to get a card for their own use.
I've
never heard of this company?
Our
card is provided by Scrip Solutions. The company has been
in business for over 20 years and is recognized as a leader
in working with various state and federal programs.
What
is the catch?
There
is no catch. The Nonprofit Warehouse offers the Drug Discount
Card program as part of our mission of helping those who can
least afford to help themselves. This fits very nicely into
our mission of working with nonprofit organizations across
the country with our nonprofit optical and dental labs. We
offer the Drug Discount Card to individuals and organizations
but offer the two lab programs only to organizations or government
agencies. We do not work directly with individuals on dentures
or eyeglasses. |
